6-4 Loss Extends Burlington Losing Streak

Quad Cities River Bandits starter Josh Chambers pitched a strong game against the Burlington Bees at Community Field, leading the River Bandits to victory, 6-4. This loss makes it 6 in a row for Burlington.
The River Bandits got a big at-bat from right fielder Justin Strode. For the game, Strode was 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the third, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 7th home run of the season gave Quad Cities a 3-1 lead.
"We're in a funk and we need to shake ourselves out of it," said Burlington manager Brian Zimmerman.
