Cubs Use Late Rally to Win
The Lansing Lugnuts could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Keith Raisor into a win. Instead, the South Bend Cubs prevailed, 6-3. Raisor threw 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball. Jaden Moore snagged the win in relief. He goes to 4-2 on the season. Miles Glass suffered the loss. The 4th-place Cubs sport a record of 41-36.

Phil Stirling came through with a big-time hit for South Bend. The second baseman smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 4-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"No disrespect to the other team," said South Bend manager Ray Behm. "But it's nice to get an easy win."
