The Peoria Chiefs got a superb performance from pitcher Caleb Tessler, but the Burlington Bees still won the game, 4-3. Tessler threw 7.0 innings of 3-hit ball. Burlington, at 24-53, sits in last place in the Western Division.

William Reagan found himself in a pressure situation in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Peoria hurler Jim Benoit, the 18-year-old second baseman drew a walk, driving in 1 run. His 1st walk of the season put the Bees on top, 4-3.

Burlington manager Brian Zimmerman was pleased with the team's effort. "It was just a good, gutsy performance by everybody," he said.
