The Dayton Dragons overcame a good performance by Great Lakes third baseman Dan Willison to knock off Great Lakes, 6-4, at Fifth Third Field. Willison was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The 5th-place Dragons hiked their record to 37-42.

Dayton took a 6-4 lead on Nate Edmond's 2nd triple of the season. The 2-run triple, which Edmond hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Great Lakes pitcher Seth Kaderly visibly frustrated.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Edmond told the Dayton Bulletin.
