Timber Rattlers March On, Beat LumberKings, 7-5
|
Clinton designated hitter Matt Paris was sensational. He was 2-5 with 2 doubles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Wisconsin beat the LumberKings, 7-5. Wisconsin pitcher Israel Sanchez earned the win, hiking his record to 5-0. Alex Guzman suffered the loss. Picking up his 12th save was 24-year old right-handed pitcher Bobby Pekala.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Rico Dominguez? The Wisconsin right fielder had a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Timber Rattlers on top, 2-0. For the game, Dominguez had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"The guys are feeling pretty good about where they're at right now," said Timber Rattlers manager Geghetsik Kazaryan. "We have a lot of guys playing with confidence."
The winning continues for Wisconsin, with the latest triumph making it 7 straight.
