Dragons Beaten by Lugnuts, 1-0
|
The Lansing Lugnuts picked up a win at Cooley Law School Stadium, dropping the Dayton Dragons, 1-0. Logan Parker, who is tied for 3rd in the MID in wins with 8, was the difference-maker. With the win, the Lugnuts improved to 41-40.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Lugnuts had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the third, when third baseman Jose Zepeda hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Kyle Cutberth and made the score 1-0, Lugnuts. Zepeda was 1 for 4.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Lansing manager Robert Ely.
