RubberDucks Hand Fightin Phils 3-2 Loss
|
Akron and Reading played a hard-fought contest.
Starting pitcher Enrique Hernandez took care of business, helping the Akron RubberDucks stifle the Reading Fightin Phils, 3-2. The loss drops Reading to 2-15.
Alex Casco, who is tied for 6th in the EL in stolen bases with 5, had a direct impact on the outcome. Casco contributed a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put Akron up, 2-0.
"Enrique executed his pitches at a high level," said Akron manager Ted Allen.
