With first baseman Eddie Saldana leading the charge, the Burlington Bees defeated the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, 9-5, at Community Field. Saldana, who is tied for 4th in the MID in home runs with 12, was 3-5 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The Bees improved their record to 39-45 with the win over Wisconsin.

With Burlington trailing 4-3 in the bottom of the second, Saldana hit a 2-run single off Wisconsin hurler Doug Taub. It was the 78th hit of the season for Saldana and put his team ahead, 5-4.

"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Saldana.
