Close Win Moves Loons to 64-21
|
Great Lakes pitcher Felix Ramos had a large part in his team beating the Dayton Dragons, 2-1. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Ramos, now 3-1, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 4, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. The Loons have an impressive 64-21 record.
The Loons got a big at-bat from shortstop Josh Guess. For the game, Guess was 1 for 3 with a home run. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Great Lakes a 2-1 lead.
"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Great Lakes manager Ivan Cruz.
