Loons Win Again, Streak Now at 10
|
The Great Lakes Loons picked up a win at Classic Park, dropping the Lake County Captains, 4-3. Chris Thompson, who leads the MID in quality starts with 13, was the difference-maker. Thompson, now 6-6, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 5, walking 6, and allowing 3 runs. Now 49-37, Great Lakes has won 10 consecutive games.
Alex Dotto, who is tied for 3rd in the MID in hits with 101, had a direct impact on the outcome. Dotto contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the seventh inning to put Great Lakes up, 4-2.
