Late Heroics Net Loons 2-1 Win
|
The Great Lakes Loons snuck past the Dayton Dragons, 2-1, in 10 innings. Great Lakes pitcher Humberto Rivera, in particular, had a standout performance. The Loons raised their record to 57-29.
The decisive blow was delivered by Josh Parham in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a run-scoring double off 23-year old right-handed pitcher Elijah Rouse to win the game for Great Lakes. The home crowd went nuts.
"This is a resilient bunch," said Great Lakes manager Ivan Cruz.
