Behind the hitting of Chris Gilmore, the Dayton Dragons clipped the Bowling Green Hot Rods, 5-4. Gilmore went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Dragons. Dayton pitcher Jared Yates got the win. He's now 5-1. Khalil Manns was tagged with the loss. Dayton's record now stands at 48-39, placing them third in the Eastern Division.

Dayton shortstop Jason Rop helped the Dragons go up, 5-4, in the top of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Rop hit a run-scoring single off Bowling Green pitcher Khalil Manns.

"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Bowling Green manager Ernesto Torre said, following the tough loss.
