Chiefs Beaten, 3-1, by Bees
|
The Burlington Bees used a great performance from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Brian Jaworski to beat the Peoria Chiefs, 3-1, at Dozer Park. In 7 innings, Jaworski surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 9 and walking 0. He allowed 1 run. The 6th-place Bees bumped their record to 40-47.
Mike Koury had a direct impact on the outcome. Koury contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the fourth inning to put Burlington up, 3-0.
"I was just trying to be aggressive and fill up the zone," said Jaworski.
