The Beloit Snappers defeated the Clinton LumberKings, 4-2, at Ashford University Field. Chris Schmucker was one of the standouts for Beloit. His 2 hits included 1 single and 1 triple -- this in addition to the 2 runs he scored and 1 he knocked in. Beloit pitcher Jesus Pagan got the win. He's now 1-0. Joe Durnin was tagged with the loss. Jesus Torres closed the door for Beloit, picking up his 1st save of the year.

Early in the game, Schmucker had a run-scoring triple for Beloit. It was his 3rd triple of the season and put the Snappers on top, 3-2.
