A good performance from third baseman Rick Martin helped the Quad Cities River Bandits defeat the Dayton Dragons, 10-4. Martin was 2-5 with a triple, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 for the River Bandits. Quad Cities currently is in 4th place in the Western Division at 49-40.

Rocco Robbins was 1 for 5 for Quad Cities. The 23-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the third. With no one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring single off Scott Morton. It was his 87th hit of the season.

Martin told a Quad Cities Times reporter that he was "very pleased" with the win.
