Bowling Green pitcher Mike Chase had a large part in his team subduing the Peoria Chiefs, 2-0. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the left-hander. A.J. Thieke earned the save for Bowling Green, his 16th of the year. The Hot Rods improved to 43-48.
