TinCaps Make It 5 Straight with 11-5 Win
The Fort Wayne TinCaps topped the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, 11-5, in Midwest League action at Parkview Field. The standout performance belonged to Fort Wayne pitcher and Chicago, Illinois, native Jonathan Texter. The winning pitcher was Texter, now 4-1. He tossed 8 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 7. The winning streak has now reached 5 games for Fort Wayne.

The TinCaps got a big hit from center fielder Jim Ponce. In the bottom of the sixth, Ponce pounded a bases-clearing double to left-center. His 14th double of the season put the TinCaps ahead, 11-0.
