The Burlington Bees found a way to sneak past the Bowling Green Hot Rods, 4-3, in 10 innings. Burlington pitcher Derrick Landry, for one, had a standout performance. Burlington is first in the Western Division with a record of 64-30.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Burlington second baseman Ben Schultz, facing A.J. Thieke, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Bees the 4-3 win.

After the game, Burlington manager Brian Zimmerman applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
