The Burlington Bees faced a tough opponent in Great Lakes pitcher Mark Matthews, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Dow Diamond by a final score of 8-3 in 10 innings. Matthews went 8 innings and allowed 1 run. The 5th-place Bees now have a record of 47-48.

The game was at a stalemate until third baseman Kyle Harrison came to bat in the top of the tenth. Facing Great Lakes pitcher Lee Lewis, he hit a 1-0 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Burlington on top, 4-3.

"Our team showed some resilience," said Harrison.
