At Fifth Third Bank Ballpark, the Kane County Cougars and Lansing Lugnuts were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

The Kane County Cougars got a superb performance from pitcher Adan Silva, but the Lansing Lugnuts still won the game, 5-0. Silva threw 6.0 innings of 3-hit ball. Lansing is in 5th place in the Eastern Division with a record of 52-43.

Tom Lazier hit a run-scoring triple off Adan Silva in the top of the fifth, which put the Lugnuts in front, 1-0. In addition to the triple, Lazier had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 3.

Lazier called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
