Starting pitcher Josh McCurley was a major factor in the 2-0 Clinton LumberKings triumph over the Bowling Green Hot Rods. Luis Salas earned the save for Clinton, his 1st of the year. The LumberKings now own a record of 30-66.

In the bottom of the fifth, Alex Cervantes delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and a runner on 2nd, the Clinton center fielder hit a 2-run home run, putting the LumberKings in front, 2-0.

"Nice to get this one," said McCurley. "Wins have been hard to come by."
