Lansing Topples Cedar Rapids, 10-1
|
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Lansing Lugnuts and Cedar Rapids Kernels.
Lansing Lugnuts starter Chris Stumpf pitched a strong game against the Cedar Rapids Kernels at Cooley Law School Stadium, leading the Lugnuts to victory, 10-1. Lansing reliever Chris Stumpf got the win, raising his record to 3-0. Bobby Brown was tagged with the loss.
Steve Bova had a key at-bat with two out in the bottom of the first for Lansing. With the bases loaded and the Lugnuts leading 1-0, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
"Anytime we get it going, it puts a smile on my face," said Bova.
