Win Goes to Bees in Tight Contest
|
The Burlington Bees dealt the Great Lakes Loons a loss at Dow Diamond. The final score was 7-5. Kyle Harrison was especially productive for Burlington. In addition to his 1 single and 2 triples, he scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Steve Hall locked down his 1st save. Today's win puts Burlington at 48-49, while Great Lakes falls to 51-46.
Josh McCallister went 3 for 4 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI for Burlington. With one out and the game tied in the top of the eighth inning, McCallister had a clutch at-bat. Facing Great Lakes hurler Chris Nelms, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Bees a 6-5 lead.
Harrison said afterward that he was glad to contribute to the win.
