Chiefs Lose Late to Dragons
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Dayton Dragons and Peoria Chiefs.

The Dayton Dragons took Peoria pitcher Jim Reich's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Dozer Park. The final score had Dayton getting past the Chiefs, 6-4. Reich went 7 innings and allowed 4 runs, striking out 9. Dayton's record now stands at 45-54, placing them 5th in the Eastern Division.

Francisco Rivera came through with a big-time hit for Dayton. The shortstop smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 6-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Rivera said after the game.
