Bowling Green picked up a win at Bowling Green Ballpark, bumping off the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, 3-1. Pitcher Mike Chase was a major reason the Hot Rods emerged victorious. A.J. Thieke came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record now stands at 2-6. The Hot Rods now own a record of 39-60.

Kevin Spiker hit a 2-run triple off Matthew Gillespie in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Hot Rods in front, 3-1. Spiker had 1 walk, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 3.
