Loons Hang 5-2 Loss on LumberKings
|
Great Lakes starter Josh Black had a strong outing against the Clinton LumberKings at Dow Diamond. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 5-2 win. In 5 innings, Black surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 4. He allowed 1 run. Great Lakes has now won 4 in a row.
The LumberKings had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Loons going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 23-year old catcher Bobby Bowling came to the plate. Bowling hit a 2-run double on a full count sinker from Clinton hurler Tommy Dwyer. It was Bowling's 7th double of the year.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Bowling.
