Late Rally Earns Burlington 7-2 Win
The Burlington Bees and West Michigan Whitecaps put on quite a show.

The Burlington Bees used a stellar performance from pitcher Joey Shelton to throttle the West Michigan offense en route to an extra-inning, 7-2 win at Fifth Third Ballpark. Burlington reliever Adam Campbell was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Kenny Treacy took the loss.

Burlington used a timely hit from Ethan Kaufman to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Bees ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a difference-maker.

Shelton told the Burlington Times: "I was born for the big stage."

The Bees, at 49-51, sit in 5th place in the Western Division.
