Rodriguez goes 3-for-4 to Ignite Snappers Offense
The bat of Alvaro Rodriguez helped the Beloit Snappers top the West Michigan Whitecaps, 6-4. Rodriguez went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for Beloit. The winner was Alfredo Romero in relief. His record improves to 1-3. Rogelio Espinosa took the loss. The last-place Snappers improved to 35-65.

The game was at a stalemate until catcher Tommy Rancourt came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing West Michigan pitcher Rogelio Espinosa, he hit a full count fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Beloit on top, 5-4.

"We'll kick back tonight and enjoy this win," said Rancourt.
