Fans watched the Kane County Cougars and the Burlington Bees fight to the finish.
The Kane County Cougars racked up a win at Fifth Third Bank Ballpark, bumping off the Burlington Bees, 4-3. Chi-ju Tze, who started for Kane County, pitched effectively for his team. Tze got the win, improving to 3-5. He gave up 6 hits and walked 4 over 6.1 innings. He allowed 1 run. Jose Gonzalez earned the save for Kane County, his 5th of the year.
The Cougars got a big at-bat from center fielder Chad Chrisley. For the game, Chrisley was 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Kane County a 3-1 lead.
"It's still just a game," said Tze, "whether you win or lose."
