Dragons Squeeze Out Win in Pitching Duel
|
In a tight contest between the Dayton Dragons and the Lake County Captains, Luis Sanchez was the determining factor. The Dayton left-hander sparkled in his team's 1-0 win. Andy Hert closed the door for Dayton, picking up his 2nd save of the year. The win makes Dayton 47-55.
The Dragons got a big at-bat from third baseman Francisco Rivera. For the game, Rivera went 1 for 4 with a double. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 2nd double of the season gave Dayton a 1-0 lead.
"We've got great fans," said Rivera. "I hope they got what they came for."
