The Quad Cities River Bandits handed the Kane County Cougars a loss at Fifth Third Bank Ballpark. The final score was 5-2. Major production was provided by Fred Grabosky for Quad Cities. In addition to his 2 singles and 1 home run, he scored 2 runs and drove in 1. He also added 1 walk. Elias Placencia locked down his 4th save. The River Bandits improved their record to 43-59 by beating Kane County.

Quad Cities used a well-timed hit by Bobby Inojosa to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the River Bandits ahead, 5-2. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"I keep on showing up every day and trying to put up good at-bats and find good pitches to hit," said Grabosky.
