The Great Lakes Loons coasted to a win over the Bowling Green Hot Rods, 10-2. Freddy Sandoval had a good day at the plate for Great Lakes. He went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Great Lakes has now won 5 in a row.
With Great Lakes leading 1-0 in the top of the fifth, Sandoval hit a splitter from Vinny Curiel for a 2-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Loons ahead, 3-0.
