Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Kane County Cougars and Burlington Bees.
The Kane County Cougars handed the Burlington Bees a loss at Fifth Third Bank Ballpark. The final score was 5-3. Major production was provided by Alex Barraza for Kane County. In addition to his 1 single and 1 home run, he scored 2 runs and drove in 3. He also added 1 walk. The save went to Kyle McKee, number 8 for him.
The Cougars got a big at-bat from shortstop Fernando Carreon. For the game, Carreon went 2-4 with 2 doubles, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 15th double of the season gave Kane County a 5-3 lead.
