Snappers Come Back Late to Clip Cougars
|
The 6-5 Beloit win over Kane County was due largely to Chris Schmucker. The Snappers second baseman hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. The 6th-place Cougars now sit at 41-63.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With no one out, Schmucker hit a fastball from Jose Gonzalez for a solo home run. The Snappers, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"Sometimes you get the ball in the right spot and it goes," said Schmucker.
