Great Lakes Loons starter Matt Bartos hurled his team past the South Bend Cubs, 6-2. Great Lakes has an impressive 71-34 record.

Great Lakes used a timely hit from Evan Sanft to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Loons ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

"There's ebbs and flows in the season and right now we're just looking to finish strong," said Sanft.
