Snappers Suffer 11-7 Setback

The 11-7 Burlington win over Beloit was due in large part to Kevin Zarndt. The Bees right fielder was 2 for 5 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Ron Goodyear was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 3 of 4 save opportunities. Burlington is 50-56 and Beloit, with the loss, 52-54.
With two out in the top of the eighth, Josh Walker had a game-changing hit. The Bees left fielder slammed a run-scoring single off Mike Fletcher, making the score 9-7, Burlington.
"We maximized our offense today," said Burlington skipper Ethan Isler. "That makes everyone's life easier."
