LumberKings Walk It Off for 39th Win of Season
A good performance from second baseman Fernando Matos helped the Clinton LumberKings defeat the Kane County Cougars, 7-5. Matos was 1-5 with a home run, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once for the LumberKings. The LumberKings sport a record of 39-68.

The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Clinton trailing 5-4, Matos hit a fastball from T.J. Johnson for a 3-run home run, giving the LumberKings the walk-off win.

"Was I getting worried?" said LumberKings manager Ty Moore. "Nope." Then he added, with a wink, "There was never a doubt in my mind."
