LumberKings Claim 4-3 Triumph

Luis Figueroa pitched well, but the Kane County Cougars still lost the game, falling, 4-3, to the Clinton LumberKings at Ashford University Field. Adam Hupp, credited with the win in relief, is now 8-2. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1 innings. The LumberKings are now 59-48, while the Cougars fall to 63-44.
The LumberKings got a big hit from second baseman Allen Adamson. Facing Kane County pitcher Luis Figueroa in the bottom of the sixth, Adamson pounded a run-scoring double to center. His 5th double of the season put the LumberKings ahead, 4-3.
Clinton manager Matt Vining commended his team for "bagging a nice win."
