Richmond Loses, 4-2, to Binghamton in 10
|
Binghamton turned a fine outing from starter David Pico into a victory over the Richmond Flying Squirrels at The Diamond. The final score was 4-2 in 10 innings. Binghamton goes to 8-9.
Binghamton used the timely hitting of Brian Troop to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Mets on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Troop. "You've got to get results."
