River Bandits Take Down Snappers, 3-1
|
The Quad Cities River Bandits beat the Beloit Snappers, 3-1. Quad Cities pitcher and Rossville, Maryland, native Will Lepp led the way. Reliever Sung-hyun Park picked up the win. His record improves to 4-3. Paul Hilborn took the loss. The save went to Isaiah Hollis, his 11th this season.
Paolo Couvreur drove in one run for Quad Cities. The 22-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Malik Olds. It was his 31st RBI of the season.
Lepp told a Quad Cities Daily reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
The win gives Quad Cities a season record of 68-40.
