Bees Bridle LumberKings, 1-0
|
In a low-scoring contest between the Burlington Bees and the Clinton LumberKings, Jorge Rendon was the X factor. The Burlington right-hander spearheaded the 1-0 win. The Bees are now 49-57, while the LumberKings fall to 43-65.
In the bottom of the second, Heriberto Esparza delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 1st and 2nd, the Burlington shortstop hit a run-scoring single, putting the Bees in front, 1-0.
"We found a way to win tonight," Esparza said.
