Cougars Get 5-3 Win Versus Peoria
The Kane County Cougars topped the Peoria Chiefs, 5-3, in Midwest League action at Fifth Third Bank Ballpark. The standout performance belonged to Kane County pitcher and San José de Guanipa, Venezuela, native Victor Huet. The Cougars now have a record of 68-40.

The Cougars got a big hit from catcher Nick Gough. In the bottom of the fifth, Gough pounded a run-scoring double to right. His 20th double of the season put the Cougars ahead, 3-1.

"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Gough told the Kane County Gazette.
