Cubs Earn Win with Late Rally
Starting pitcher Christopher S Roberts pitched well enough to help the South Bend Cubs beat the Great Lakes Loons, 4-3. South Bend, now 53-56, holds down third place in the Eastern Division.

The climactic moment came in the bottom of the ninth for South Bend. That's when 23-year old third baseman Mike McGinley hit a solo home run off Nick Moore to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.

"This place went berserk," McGinley said.
