The Fort Wayne TinCaps downed the Lansing Lugnuts, 4-0, at Parkview Field. Fort Wayne pitcher Jonathan Baumgardner definitely brought his A-game. Baumgardner yielded no runs over 5.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 2 hits, walked 0, and struck out 6. His record improves to 3-4. The Lugnuts have now dropped 5 straight.

Fort Wayne catcher Jose Lujan contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the first. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 63rd hit of the season and put the TinCaps ahead, 2-0.

"We did a lot of really good things and it was a good win," said TinCaps manager Michael Chiquito.
