Bees Reel Off Another Win, 7-2
Burlington Bees starter Bobby Gibler kept the Clinton LumberKings hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 7-2 win. Bobby Gibler picked up the win in relief. Branden McDonald took the loss for Clinton. Carlos Ruiz finished to wrap up his 4th save.

Mario Sandoval had a big run-scoring triple for the Bees in the bottom of the first inning. With Burlington leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he got a sinker from 21-year old right-handed pitcher Branden McDonald and swatted a triple to left-center. It was his 5th triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Bees ahead, 2-0.

"The key at this level is throwing strike one," said Gibler. "Successful pitchers do it."

The Bees have now reeled off 6 straight wins.
