Cubs Lose Versus West Michigan, 5-3
The West Michigan Whitecaps racked up a win at Four Winds Field at Coveleski Stadium, bumping off the South Bend Cubs, 5-3. Pat Blair, who started for West Michigan, pitched effectively for his team. With the win, West Michigan has a record of 56-58. South Bend falls to 66-48.

Dustin Robinson came through with a big-time hit for West Michigan. The first baseman smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 4-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"I was able to really locate my pitches tonight," said Blair.
