Captains Stymie Bowling Green, Take 4-1 Win
|
Lake County starter John Forrester put a stranglehold on the Bowling Green offense. The right-hander had complete command of his cutter in leading the Captains to a 4-1 win. The save was credited to Bryan Harmon, his 7th. Lake County, at 53-60, occupies 5th place in the Eastern Division.
The Captains got a big at-bat from shortstop Mike Laudon. For the game, Laudon was 1-3 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Lake County a 3-0 lead.
"I executed the game plan," said Forrester.
