In a tight contest at Harry C. Pohlman Field, the Beloit Snappers edged the Burlington Bees by the score of 8-7. Beloit designated hitter Sal Pena, who blasted 1 home run, was a key contributor. The last-place Snappers have a record of 46-68.

The game came to a sudden end. In the bottom of the ninth, with one out, Pena hit a 2-run single. It gave Beloit the 8-7 walk-off win.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Pena told a Beloit Daily reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
