The Peoria Chiefs rode a solid performance from 20-year-old starting pitcher Jim Reich to a win, beating the Burlington Bees, 4-2, at Dozer Park. With the win, the Chiefs have a record of 75-39.

The Chiefs got a big boost from right fielder Josh Bredeson who had a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the first inning off Bees hurler Frank Vargas. It was his 18th RBI of the season and put Peoria on top, 1-0.

"Jim was bobbing and weaving the whole game," said Peoria manager Tommy Davenport.
