5-2 Loss Extends Kane County Skid
|
2108 is shaping up to be a forgettable year for the Kane County Cougars.
Peoria registered a win at Dozer Park by beating the Kane County Cougars, 5-2. Pitcher Simon Juneau was one reason why the Chiefs triumphed. Tom Likins closed it out for his 11th save.
The Chiefs got a big at-bat from left fielder John Bougie. For the game, Bougie was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 7th home run of the season gave Peoria a 2-0 lead.
Said losing manager Robby Bilodeau: "Give the Chiefs credit. They played a better game than we did."
The losing streak for Kane County has now reached 6 games.
