Dayton registered a win at Fifth Third Field by beating the Lansing Lugnuts, 5-1. Pitcher Tom McLemore was one reason why the Dragons triumphed. McLemore, now 8-5, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 6, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. Today's win puts Dayton at 61-54, while Lansing falls to 71-44.

Camillo Sapia dealt the Lugnuts a blow in the bottom of the sixth. Batting with the bases loaded and Dayton leading 2-1, Sapia hit a 2-2 cutter for a run-scoring single.
