Starting pitcher Juan Jaimes gave the Dayton Dragons a rock-solid performance, helping them defeat the Bowling Green Hot Rods, 2-1, in 10 innings. The win puts the Dragons at 51-64, while the Hot Rods drop to 39-76.

The game-ending blow was delivered by Juan Trevino in the bottom of the tenth. That's when he hit a run-scoring double off 22-year old left-handed pitcher Merlin Penney to win it for Dayton and cause the home crowd to erupt in celebration.

"I just made my pitches," said Jaimes, "and the ball kept missing the bat."
