The Burlington Bees defeated the Quad Cities River Bandits, 7-6. Catcher Jake Bradley deserved a large share of the credit. Bradley went 4 for 6 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Bees. After today's action, Burlington sits at 63-54; Quad Cities slips to 50-67.

Burlington used the timely hitting of Josh McCallister to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Bees on top, 7-6. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I like the vibe in the clubhouse after a win," said McCallister. "It sure beats the alternative."
